What's a nice company like yours doing in a place like this?
Or, how I learned to stop worrying and love the creative bomb
Okay, so you’ve probably clicked through a few pages on the website and here we are. Two corporate strangers on a blind date. How are you doing so far? Bored? Uncertain? How about curious?
We know this is part of a first impression, and we want to share the essence of Pulse in a way that is meaningful to you. To do that we need to talk, to share our stories and experiences, and to understand how we can employ trust, planning, creativity, and strategy to get you where you want to go.
With marketing, part of the thrill is in arriving where you intended. The other thrill is arriving somewhere you never expected, somewhere better than you hoped for. That’s more rare, but it happens. The challenge is being brave and committed enough to attempt your greatness in the first place – whatever great means to you (it’s different for everybody).
We hope you’re thinking, “I’m curious,” because curiosity wins the day with us. It imparts a sense of possibility, exploration, learning, and wonder. And it’s also why we will ask so many questions.
If there are three things to take away from this little write-up, then know that:
- We give our honest opinion (if you want a suck-up then go buy a new outfit)
- Forced to choose between planning, design or execution, we favour planning (it's the map to where you want to go)
- We won't use trendy business terms with you like “Boiling the frog” (managing change gradually and smoothly) or “Deja moo” (the sense you’ve been through this BS before).
Nice to meet you.
